    Proposal and quotation

    Initial design to clients brief


    Planning:

    1. Carrying out a measured survey;

    2. Drawing up of the survey of the existing context in CAD.

    3. Obtain OS Plan and prepare Draft drawings, to illustrate siting, design and approximate size.

    4. Attend client meeting to discuss design proposals

    5. Incorporate client comments on the scheme and draw up a detailed scheme and Required plans (usually elevations and floorplans).

    6. Completion of Planning forms.

    7. Submission of application to District Council Planning Department;

    8. Monitoring of the application through to determination. (Usually an 8 week period)


    Building Regulations:

    9. Obtain Quotations from Local Authority/Approved Inspector;

    10. Provide drawings and specification information (usually detailed and dimensioned plans and elevations, section, details and notes).

    11. Make Building Control Application for Plans Approval;

    12. Monitor application and provide additional information as required;

    13. Enhance detail and specification to allow a Contractor to price and build from drawings.
